Richie Cole performs on “That’s The Way”
Richie Cole of The Manhattan Transfer fame and hit single, New York Afternoon, recently performed on one of my new songs, That’s the Way, which will appear on my new solo project.
That’s the Way is a beautiful love song with sultry saxophone by Cole. Also performing on the song is Pete Hewlett of Billy Joel fame, along with Joey Granati. Together they laid down some of the most angelic and Beatlesque back-up vocals. This song is sure to make you smile and feel good.
In addition, Richie Cole’s new release, Latin Lover, is a must buy for any jazz enthusiast, along with all of Richie’s other recordings which display his amazing musical journey. Latin Lover was just released on October 14, 2017. My personal favorite song on the Latin Lover album is Island Breeze. This epic song hosts Eddie Jefferson. This song is a Richie Cole original and remake, completely different with a dose of Bossa Nova and Samba to help the hips to sway this way and that.
I am currently writing lyrics for one of Richie Cole’s new love songs…soon to be announced.
